Robert Fico´s Electoral Sparring Partners
Slovakia has already launched an informal competition for the most successful electoral sparring partner for the ruling party SMER - SD. Its main theme is which non-parliamentary political party and career MPs can help Robert Fico obtain an absolute majority of parliamentary seats again in the parliamentary elections held in March 2016. To help SMER - SD to another electoral triumph means to reduce the number of mandates for diversified quarrelsome transnational, liberal, civil, pro-European and Eurosceptic right. Christian Democrats, the party Most - Híd, Sloboda a Solidarita (Freedom and Solidarity), Obyčajní ľudia (Ordinary People) and virtually presented “new values hope for Slovakia”- wide- spectrum party Sieť (Network) of politically unstable but by an Americans-tested lawyer Radoslav Procházka. Although voters´ potential of these “eternal guarantors of democracy, freedom, justice, the better life and the fight against corruption is approaching towards the potential of the Social Democrats, it is only significant if it is common and united. Nevertheless, it is not.
Among the non-parliamentary parties and those that have not undergone the elections yet, but they have their deputies in the parliament, the strongest foursome has been created in the pre- electoral rink- Slovenská národná strana (the Slovak National Party), Ľudová strana Naše Slovensko (the People´s Party Our Slovakia), Slovenská občianska iniciatíva (the Slovak Citizen´s Coalition) and the movement Sme rodina (We are the family). They want to fight for the trust of not satisfied right-winged, liberal, leftist, protest and undecided voters, respectively, for the votes of first time voters and young generation. They are their largest target group, regardless whether they are able to communicate with them using modern means - unfinished sentences and words, feelings, English vocabulary items, images, graphics signs ...
Oligarch Boris Kollár´s movement Sme rodina (We are the family) leaves the most exotic impression out of all parties mentioned above. However, it is surely the satire of democracy and political system in Slovakia, or the demonstration of its arrogant entrepreneurship in political marketing. His philosophy is simple - to establish a new or to buy a registered party shortly before the elections, then to say a few slogans that respond to current problems and mood of citizens, to stick billboards, find activists on social networks and media to establish “flock " that would vote him to the Parliament as a new savior of “Slovak families from invasion of Islamic immigrants, to protect them against moneylenders and executions". Just 5 percent is enough and he will have a family in the family of other families. This simple program is offered to Slovakia by Boris Kollár, the father of nine children born out of wedlock. A businessman who suddenly got sober from “puppets and butlers of financial groups and oligarchs in Slovak politics who suck the national budget. “Their views recalls the era of the media and of creating the virtual “personality and shared values " of the oligarch Andrej Kiska , the current Slovak president, whose non-banking companies with usurious interest led to execution of many Slovak families ... In any case, the movement “Sme rodina” (We are the family) is a business plan of a man who wants to show that he still has “his balls” even in Slovak politics in the Bratislava area so that he proved to himself and his family that he is able to buy a seat in the parliament, subsequently his costs will be refunded by taxpayers.
Social security, safety and work of the voters of SMER - SD cannot be seriously jeopardized by Slovenská občianska koalícia (the Slovak Citizens´ Coalition - SKOK! - this abbreviation means “Jump!” in English), the party of all possible utopian ideologies of “decent and honest people " who love and like Slovakia. Juraj Miškov, a chairman of the party and a member of the national Parliament, and his team of career and party-changing members have elaborated a program of overhaul of Slovakia with the separation of church and state budget. The main motivation of the program is to return the status of citizen from the hands of a small group of individuals who are allegedly connected to SMER - SD. The party SKOK! - a kind of the civil-liberal mixture of “free and powerful open society citizens who themselves seek the ways of happiness “will certainly be a forerunner of a single test”. What is and what will be the real power of LGBTI movement in Slovakia and supporters of perverse sexual and gender theories? Their international lobbying, not strong in Slovakia, influenced SMER – SD that wants to be in solidarity with all, even with ethnic, sexual and gender minorities. Eurosceptic party - Freedom and Solidarity could not even resist this lobbying, which, however disappointed LGBTI movement because it only “vaguely” pursued “their minority rights "in the The Slovak National Party (Slovenská národná strana -SNS) being led by Andrej Danko, a lawyer, which is considered the oldest Slovak political party (1871) is attempting for a comeback to the Slovak parliament. In the era of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the first Czechoslovak Republic, it was uniting mostly national intelligence and aristocracy. It got out of the parliament in the elections held in 2012 due to the unpredictable policy of the previous party leadership, squabbles, allegations of corruption and in particular ,, theft "of electors who did not like the affairs of SNS in the first government of Robert Fico. After “cleaning the party" from the compromised leaders (Slota), moderate nationalists want  “proudly, eruditely and politely " build a state with several attributes - as a powerful, national, social, safe, educated, economic, health, environmental and cultural state in the reformed European Union. The party is indeed against the Transatlantic Partnership on Trade and Investment (TTIP) between the EU and the US but for example in the event of the collapse of the euro zone and the European Union has no plan B. The party does not criticize Prime Minister Fico and his party SMER - SD for the fact that Slovakia has supported three anti-Russian sanctions and the MEPs for that party voted twice as dictated by Brussels quotas for the distribution of illegal immigration between the EU Member States. They do not openly speak about cooperation between the EU and the Eurasian economic union. SNS has not defined clearly against the Social Democrats and “their neutrality” „explain as a lack of debate and agreement on strategic issues for the nation and state.
That is why the Slovak camp of national and patriotic forces eagerly awaits the results achieved by the Ľudová strana Naše Slovensko (the People´s Party Our Slovakia). In the regional elections in 2013, surprisingly Marián Kotleba, a teacher and engineer of economics, won the post of President of the Banská Bystrica self- governing region, in the second round he received more than 71,000 votes and defeated the candidate of SMER - SD. In the early parliamentary elections in 2012, the Party received 1.58% of the votes (40,460 voters), about three percent less than the Slovak National Party. The People´s Party  received the most votes in Košice, Prešov and Banská Bystrica region that Transparency International has declared twice in a row as the most transparent region in Slovakia while being led by Marián Kotleba.
This party has been in the Slovak political map since 2011. It claims to be the only real alternative and opposition “against corrupt and criminal "democratic" system and the current parliamentary parties in Slovakia, which more or less have stolen, sold out and betrayed the nation and Slovakia. The People´s Party, therefore, for example, requires Slovakia to leave the EU and NATO, withdrawal of Slovak soldiers from “the occupying NATO missions ", a balanced national budget, the re-introduction of the Slovak Crown, restoring food, economic and energy independence of Slovakia, the abolition of favoring foreign investors and businessmen, regular drug tests at primary and secondary schools, the establishment of militia or combat “parasites and thieves in the parliament and in the Romany settlements. " The Populars who support the policies of Viktor Orbán, Marine Le Pen and Vladimir Putin, believe in themselves and are convinced that the citizens will elect them to the Slovak Parliament. If that happens, perhaps at the expense of the Slovak National Party. Or they might both get to the parliament and replace Robert Fico and openly talk about issue he cannot or does not want to talk about.
