Candles for Maidanists
During November there were minor public protests of citizens held, protests of so- called civil activists connected to the leaders of small political parties and probably also to the US Embassies in Prague and Bratislava. The organizers of the protests abused the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in the former Czechoslovakia for a kind of “Czech and Slovak Maidan” (“maidan” sounds similar to the word “mejdan”, which in Czech slang means “party”). In the Czech Republic they organized protests mainly against President Zeman and his alleged coarse language in the public media, in Slovakia against Mr. Fico, P. Paška and SMER - SD for alleged corruption. A sort of “maidan” had started a little earlier in Hungary, which was meant against Viktor Orban and his FIDESZ, which the latest wants to tax the owners of the Internet servers and not Internet users, which, however, was not mentioned in the protest meetings ...
Nevertheless, there has been something different beneath this “public protests” - the current crisis in Ukraine and nervousness in Washington and Brussels of “pro-Russian" attitudes of political representatives in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. In this case “pro-Russian "means seeking the truth and desiring to develop standard and mutually beneficial economic cooperation with the Russian Federation. Why? For the simple reason - the crisis in these countries pushes people and their standard of living constantly down. The European Union has not been able to get over the economic and social crisis for 6 years. And all the indicators show that neither Juncker 315- billion- dollar package, nor a new fund for strategic investments to revitalize research, science, small and medium enterprises will save the Union within the next three years. It's just another band on the eyes and ears for citizens and businesses in the EU, as this will only be temporary, and another more or less stolen solution. As we previously lectured from neo-liberal economists, each fund is a source of corruption and a factor which distorts the subjective “free market". In this context, it is interesting that in the United States did not need any new or specific funds to overcome the crisis.
A lesson having been learned so far: the use of European funds, no state in the EU has managed to use the resources to 90-100 percent. In the case of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia it is a chronic problem of the weak and poor use of the funds. On the other hand, the crisis in the EU is deep, there has been no success in overcoming the recession, and there has been a constantly increasing number of poor people and the masses of unemployed young people with a nice and framed diploma. We also know that the most successful states of EU development help - Portugal and Ireland did not escape the crisis. And so it is becoming increasingly obvious that the risk of disintegration of the Union or its transformation into new “ German EU " has been taking clearer contours since the Union made its economic life more complicated- by supporting the coup in Ukraine, agreeing with the Association Agreement with Kiev and its oligarchs and introducing nine anti-Russian sanctions package. At least, it serves to the UK Prime Minister Cameron´s honor that he has been talking responsibly and openly about the advantages and disadvantages of the fate of the country in the European Union. Similarly Marine Le Pen, who has certainly seriously shuffled the cards in the French presidential elections, began to speak about it even strongly. And Viktor Orban pursues his more independent and innovative policy towards Brussels in Hungary. It can inspire not only Slovakia in many ways.
Well, let´s get back to the attempt for “a Czech-Hungarian-Slovak Maidan". After cooling of relations with the traditionally pro-American and anti-Russian Poland, the small, “the Central European Triple Alliance „ reached cul-de- sac point. The states are unable to speak unanimously and express their common and understandable statements. Unlike Poland and the Baltic region, however, but in the Czech Republic, Hungary or Slovakia there are no US military and special forces settling down yet, which have to face, "alleged Russian attack on Ukraine. Thus, the US official propaganda seeks to deceive public opinion, because the truth may be something else - for example, the planned invasion to western Ukraine. A similar scenario occurred, for example, in Kosovo and Metohija in March 1999, where unjust bombing of Serbia later concreting a US base in the Serbian province. It's been there for 15 years and it does not seem so that its disposal has ever been planned. Now alleged fear of Russia and President Putin can “concrete” Americans in the Baltic States and Poland, where Donald Tusk, a former prime minister and new president of the European Council would like to see the 10,000 US troops. And immediately after he had taken this well-paid function, he declared that it was necessary to build a defense on the eastern border of the EU ...
Fortunately, the public opinion in the three countries of the Visegrad Four with the passage of time gradually learns the truth about the coup in Ukraine and the true nature of the so-called Ukrainian national revolution. Slowly, the lies of American neo-conservatives and former leaders of the Brussels and the European Union citizens, who knowingly and intentionally did not tell the citizens the whole truth, are being revealed. And of course, neither so-called mainstream media, which they chose censorship and information blockade. After all, which of them had the courage to bring extensive coverage, for example, from Odessa and eastern Ukraine?
Milos Zeman, Viktor Orbán and Robert Fico today are politicians who think differently and better analyze the current Ukrainian-Russian relations, the new Yatsenyuk’s government or president Poroshenko. They understand the policy of Vladimir Putin better and behave more neutral and independent as they are required. Logically, they are not so, good example "for the rest of the EU. The best recipe to weaken their position, is to organize various “protests of civilians” against them. And in the case of Slovakia and Hungary, they may destabilize the government and trigger early elections. Bulgaria has survived something similar, where under the US pressure, the government, which supported the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline to supply Russian gas to the EU countries, resigned.
The official motto of  “Slovak maidan "and so far four meetings in Bratislava and Košice was “the fight against corruption." It was organized by three Members of the Slovak Parliament and a Member of the European Parliament, about which the high representatives of SMER - SD think they are crazy and insane people. They have become a gang that without having exact evidence of corruption, they began to blame, teach and demand the resignation of some members of the government and government officials. Their goal - to destabilize SMER - SD and thus Slovak government – they want to achieve it by organizing mass protests and media attacks. Yet, Daniel Lipšic, a former Minister of Justice and Home Affairs, has not ever submitted any credible evidence “about his fight against corruption.“ Likely, MPs Matovič and Hlina, or anti- Greek star Richard Sulik. This new MEP, built up his election campaign on the criticism of the bailout fund and financial help to Greece. It is very strange that in the case of silent EFSF EU to Ukraine and its so-called pro-European government that managed to ruin the Ukrainian economy and impoverish millions of citizens in a year´s time, he remains quiet.
Pavol Paška, a former Speaker of the Parliament, who became the target of accusations and protests before the local elections, unexpectedly resigned and gave up the mandate. He did so despite the fact that there are no known evidence of his corruption and “organized crime“ and despite the victory in the so-called Maidan referendum about him and the mayor of Kosice. He was accused, judged or convicted. He won but yet, he resigned. Because he had wanted to do so for a longer time and apparently he used the right moment – victory of Mayor Richard Raši in Košice. But those who exaggerated politically remained at their places again. Why don´t they after such strong and tough talks, give up their opposition mandates and did not leave “ the, Maidan against corruption "?
Perhaps, it is high time “maidan” was held against Daniel Lipšic and his sponsors. Even against those Americans…Or against millionaires in Igor Matovič´s party, or
“Orava shepherd " Alojz Hlina. It could be “ a maidan” to warn them at least about the quality of  their parliamentary work and work ethics. In the case of Daniel Lipšic and his behavior against Slovak justice in cases where he is prosecuted. Why must Slovakia and Slovaks, at least those, who are interested, constantly do crossword puzzles with this question: What do these guys do right and good for Slovakia? What are the results of their work? Or what else, besides disintegrating Fico's party and government can they offer? Are they blackmailed or supported by the American intelligence services? “Gentlemen” like Sulik, Lipšic, Matovič already possess and know how to demonstrate their skills. And maybe there would be another very interesting question: Who bought or donated candles to those two or three thousands of protestors? Is it or is it not corruption?
